New Outdoor Indiana issue features Madison's Chautauqua
Outdoor Indiana magazine's September-October issue features a six-page article on the annual Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art, to be held Sept. 24 and 25 in Madison.
The feature gives a brief history of the event and includes many photos from last year, all in full Outdoor Indiana color.
The 48-page magazine, which publishes six times a year, previews another huge September event, the Hoosier Outdoor Experience, which is the Sept. 17-18, at Fort Harrison State Park in Indianapolis in its cover article. The third annual event offers the chance to try more than 50 outdoor activities, hands-on, for free. A total of 18,400 participants turned out last year, and there's room for many more in the spacious state park this year. Hoosieroutdoorexperience.IN.gov gives more details on the event and how to register.
Every Outdoor Indiana through 2016, the state parks' 100th anniversary, includes an eight-page removable and collectible insert in which a state park or reservoir property is featured. Chain O'Lakes in Noble County is this issue's park.
The new Outdoor Indiana is available now at most DNR properties and most Barnes & Noble stores in Indiana for $3 a copy. A $12 subscription keeps you up to date on Indiana's outdoors all year and includes the magazine's annual calendar, which sells for $10 as a separate piece and sold out last year.
To subscribe, go to OutdoorIndiana.org or call (317) 233-3046. Join Outdoor Indiana on Facebook to get updates on what's coming up in future issues and see bonus photos. That's free at facebook.com/OutdoorIndiana.
